Use a spreadsheet skill to edit a workbook, a data-analysis plugin to investigate datasets, an accounting plugin to prepare reconciliation work, and a billing connector to inspect invoices. These are different jobs with different evidence and approval requirements.
The spreadsheet skill helps with file-based formulas and analysis. Stripe and QuickBooks connect to business systems, and the Duet announcement names them for checking unpaid invoices and drafting reminders. Do not choose a connector simply because your spreadsheet happens to contain financial information. When a local export is enough, it can avoid granting unnecessary access to a live account.
For “why did this metric change?”, begin with the data analyst plugin and a dataset with defined units and dates. For “why do these balances differ?”, the finance plugin provides reconciliation-oriented guidance. For “who still needs to pay?”, inspect current invoice status through the billing system. Keep currencies, time zones and reporting periods explicit; comparing unlike periods can produce a convincing but invalid conclusion.
Ask a file-based analysis to identify missing rows and assumptions before generating a chart. Check workbook formulas after recalculation, not just their displayed cached values. Reconcile totals to a known source and retain unexplained differences. For invoice reminders, confirm due dates, disputes and the intended recipient. Start with a proposed action list or draft, not a bulk send.
Nothing in these resources requires you to hand over a live account on day one. The spreadsheet skill works on a file you provide. The data analyst plugin README describes a path without a warehouse connection, where you paste results or upload CSV and Excel files. A first run on an export shows you how the analysis is built, what assumptions it makes and where it needs correction, while the real systems remain untouched.
The finance plugin is not financial, tax or audit advice, and its own documentation requires qualified review. Duet’s announcement excludes securities trading and transfers between accounts even with approval. “Duet documented” on an invoice connector means the integration is named in an official source—not that this guide tested your account or authorized payment actions. The repository skills and plugins remain labeled ecosystem-only here.
