Use the frontend design skill when you are shaping an interface, the marketing plugin when you need a campaign plan, copy or performance report, and the Canva connector when you want launch assets built in a design tool. Review anything before it is published.
These three resources sit at different points in the same project. The frontend design skill is about the visual direction of an interface. The marketing plugin covers content, campaign planning, brand voice, competitive analysis and reporting. The Canva connector is about producing launch material in a design tool. Choosing one for the wrong stage is the usual mistake: assets made before the message is settled tend to be redone.
Generic prompts produce generic output. The marketing plugin README describes configuring brand voice, style guide and target personas so that commands apply them automatically. Do the same in any design task: supply approved claims, real brand guidance and the audience. Tell Claude what to leave out. The more of the brief you write yourself, the less the result depends on guesswork you will have to find later.
A social graphic can quietly promise something your product does not do. Compare every headline, number and testimonial with your approved messaging. Check fonts, images and third-party material for usage rights. A design tool connection lets Claude work with your assets; it does not decide whether you may publish a particular claim or image.
The frontend design skill describes a process of planning, reviewing against the brief, building and critiquing. That improves taste, but it is not a quality assurance pass. Resize the result to a phone width, move through it with only a keyboard, and read it with real content. Design guidance can shape a decision; it cannot confirm that your page works for the people using it.
The Duet announcement describes turning a product launch into a social campaign in Canva, and it says Duet waits for your approval before sending messages. Even so, keep publication a deliberate step you take yourself until you have reviewed several rounds of output. A draft that looks finished is still a draft until a person has read every word on it.
