Validate Claude's PDF table extraction before you trust it
A documentation-based checklist for tables Claude pulls from PDFs: classify the file, extract twice, reconcile cells and totals, and decide what to reject.
ARTICLES · DOCUMENTATION REVIEWS
Longer guides for repeatable jobs, with the steps, the checks and the limits written down. 3 articles, newest review 24 October 2026.
These articles go one level deeper than the directory. Each takes one repeatable job, such as validating a table pulled from a PDF, turning a research run into a report a person can sign, or deciding whether to package a workflow as a skill or as a plugin, and sets out the steps, a validation and rejection checklist, the failure cases to expect and the compatibility limits.
Every article is a documentation review. We read vendor documentation, library documentation and, where they add something, practitioner descriptions, and each claim is labelled by the kind of source it comes from. No article reports a hands-on test, and the sample prompts are illustrations, not observed output. Where a source does not mention Claude Duet, the article says the support is not documented rather than implying it.
Each page lists its sources with the date we retrieved them and, where the source states one, the date it was published. The review date says when we last read those sources. Products change, so open the linked pages before you rely on a detail.
