Use the sales plugin to prepare calls and review a pipeline, the customer support plugin to triage and escalate tickets, and the HubSpot connector to draft follow-ups from contact and deal history. Each can draft; none should send without your review.
Sales and support work look alike because both start from a customer message. They differ in what a mistake costs. A sales brief that misses a detail wastes a meeting. A support reply that misstates a policy can create a dispute. Decide whether you are preparing for a conversation, answering a request or following up on a deal before you choose a resource, and write that sentence at the top of your first prompt.
The sales plugin README says every skill works without any connectors and can work from an uploaded pipeline export, transcript or account list. That makes a file-based first run possible. The HubSpot connector is different: it reads contact and deal history that people entered, so its drafts are only as current as the CRM. Try the plugin on an export first, then decide whether a live connection adds enough to justify the access.
Emails, tickets and call transcripts are written by other people and can contain requests aimed at the assistant. The sales plugin README says outside content is read as information, never as instructions, and shows an action before anything happens. Apply the same habit to support: if a ticket asks for a refund or a credential, treat that as something to review, not something to execute.
The customer support plugin describes packaging an escalation with context, reproduction steps and business impact. Use that for the engineer or manager who will read it, and check the facts against the original ticket. Remove personal data you do not need to share. A well-formed escalation is still a draft until a person confirms the customer, the symptoms and the priority.
The Duet announcement says Duet shows you exactly what it is about to do and waits for your approval before it sends a message. The sales README adds that skills can update CRM records, create email drafts or send email within each connector’s permissions. Together they point to one working rule: allow drafts and proposals freely, and approve each send or record change yourself, at least until you trust the output for a specific task.
